Wisteria

Titled 'Wisteria', this small acrylic painting comes unframed. <br>It uses fairly thick impasto to add texture to the surface of the work.<br>The image belongs to my 'Doors and Windows' series, <br>and attempts to depict the claims that nature can make over a man-made world,<br>claims that, however, often have a harmonious effect.<br>The poem which I composed to reflect the subject of this work is :<br>What we don't peel back, nature will, but gently and humbly <br>Until<br>The cracks in the structure <br>Spell out "crumble". <br>And after the shock come the gate crashers,<br>The creepers and vines <br>Intent on making a colourful splash <br>Upon the mundane...<br>
